London’s changing skyline – mixing the old with the new…

|In1st Option NewsLondon Life

The hoarding at the new Leadenhall Building (affectionally known as the cheese-grater…) gives an idea of what the  City skyline will soon look like…

It’s almost finished, seems to have gone up in no time at all and will be the square mile’s tallest building when complete. Meanwhile, the Gherkin’s already firmly established as one of our favourites…

Along the banks of The Thames the modern buildings seem to blend effortlessly with our history… and add to the growing list of the Capitol’s tourist attractions…

Somehow, The Ship in Hart Lane has managed to fight off development on all sides and survive as one of the City’s oldest pubs and 20 Fenchurch Street is close to being completed and will feature ‘The Sky Garden’ on it’s roof which will be one of the highest public spaces in London with 360 degree views over the Capitol.

And… Canary Wharf keeps growing – somehow developers are still finding more space to build around there.

We can’t wait to see what will come next…
