Why earthy tones are dominating interiors

Why earthy tones are dominating interiors

Gone are the days when millennial grey reigned supreme – earthy tones have taken over, bringing warmth, depth and a sense of calm to homes.

This palette of brown, beige, olive, terracotta and clay is dominating interiors in 2025 – and we’re seeing the same shift reflected in the shoot locations brands are choosing.

Why are earthy tones trending?

The move toward warmer, natural shades reflects a broader shift toward nature, texture, and tactility. Moving away from minimalist white walls, concrete floors, and sharp edges, earthy tones offer a softer, more inviting alternative that evokes warmth and comfort.

What does this look like in a shoot location?

Textured plaster walls

Organic, tactile fabrics
