Situated in Bethnal Green, The Coachworks really does live up to the edgy East London home stereotype that proceeds it.

This East London shoot location is modern and forward thinking in its architectural build, but also in its style. Each room is individually unique whilst harmonising beautifully, contributing to a very specific aesthetic.

The downstairs kitchen area is open plan, but not in the conventional way; this room is long and narrow but feels so spacious due to the exceptionally high ceilings, which extend to the upstairs, with no real separation between the two floors. The kitchen also embraces a compilation of contemporary trends, with its concrete flooring, original exposed brick walls, open copper ducting, white tiling and wooden panels.

The dining room and upstairs bedroom are both white spaces with minimal decoration, providing a bright and fresh alternative to the wooden, earthy feel throughout the rest of the house.

There is also an outdoor, patio area, which can be accessed by the French doors in the dining room, again projecting light into the house and opening it up.

Initially, this property feels more like a Shoreditch coffee house, than somebody’s home, but the design really does make the best of an otherwise difficult space, ensuring that the house feels spacious but cosy all at once.
