Pink is having more than just a moment; it has been declared the colour of the Millennial generation. But why has it so captured the hearts (and lenses) of the Instagram tribe?

For me, Millennial Pink takes me back to my childhood. Visiting a local annual balloon festival at dusk in the height of summer with my Dad, it was the only time in the year I was allowed candy floss on a stick – which would inevitably end up all over my hands, in my hair, my ears, eyebrows, on passing dogs…as much of a treat for anyone to watch as it was for to attempt to eat, I’m sure.

From the blushed hues of a tropical sunset, to hot pink flamingos at a safari park, Pic ‘n’ Mix at funfairs to toasted marshmallows on the fire…. Millennial Pink reminds us of these simple joys that nourish the soul and transports us to a warmer, sunnier place.

A pop of pink adds a fun element of kitsch to a strong, mid-century modern decor, perfectly achieved at our new location house ‘Adventure’:

There’s always a place for pink in all-out 1950s retro interior like the fantastic tiled bathroom at Sputnik’:

Finally, our wonderful location Mapesbury Rd’ shows this off in full glory:

So stick on your rose-tinted sunglasses, put the pinot blush on chill and enjoy the last that summer has to offer!
