If you are looking for a retro style shoot location, Alleyn is the property for you. This unique, 1930’s red brick house is mostly untouched from its original late seventies style and design. Some areas like the hallway for example have also been intentionally distressed to offer another layer of texture, character and charm to an already incredibly diverse house.
Downstairs features a living room, dining room, kitchen, tobacco room, sunroom and quirky hallway area. In keeping with the seventies aesthetic, the living area has an eye-catching striped wallpapered wall, wooden furniture, a granite fireplace and a golden yellow, carpeted floor. Through the living area you’ll find the sun room which has been finished with terracotta tiles and a plentiful amount of plants. Moving through the house, you’ll find the tobacco room which features a brown aesthetic of carpet, leather chair and wallpaper. The dining room in contrast has a wooden floor with dark wooden antique furniture, a stone fireplace and distressed walls. The final downstairs room, the kitchen has lino flooring and one of the most distinctive 70’s decor’s you’re likely to find!
Upstairs there are an array of rooms, including the main bedroom, dressing room, pink childs bedroom and quirky bathroom. The main bedroom is finished in a dated colour scheme with striped wallpaper, brown carpeted floor, vanity area and has an ensuite. Within the dressing room and pink room, you’ll find exposed floorboards and a whole host of unique furniture including mannequins, a large toy car, riding saddles and distressed luggage holders. Within the space you will also find an avocado suite with carpeted flooring, green and yellow tiling and a vintage green bath.
Alleyn is one of the most authentic 70’s styled shoot locations you will find this year!
