Temple is one of our latest and most quirky East London shoot location properties.
At a glance, it is hard to pin down exactly what style this house is attributing, a fusion of both the old and the new. It is wildly random and fantastically unique all in one instance.
The property has retained some of its original rawness, with a feature brick wall in the kitchen, concrete flooring throughout the downstairs and a traditional log burner, but these structural features are contrasted by a definite nod to the contemporary.
The house is draped in furniture with bold, clashing patterns, such as the leopard print sofa, the blue rug, the yellow fur coffee table and the red and white Aztec chairs, all stored within one rather intimate living room.
Despite this clash of colour, fabric and pattern, the more modern features, as well as the pastel palette throughout brings the house up to date and prevents it from feeling too ‘shabby chic’, actually offering a polished and coordinated aesthetic.
