Quilda is a gorgeous, double-fronted 1940’s house which has been extended over time. Clients are welcomed to the property with parking spaces for 2-3 cars and a front garden with a Leylandii hedge at the pavement border.

The entire ground floor comes with a newly-fitted dark oak parquet. Excluding the flooring, the entrance hall is an all-white space, creating a calming atmosphere for those stepping foot inside.

At the front of the house, there is a cosy snug, offering a beautiful working wood burner and charcoal walls, juxtaposing pastel upholsteries. A neon sign that says ‘Let’s Stay Home’ sits just above the fireplace, adding a quirky, yet homely feel to the room.

Leading on, a huge open-plan kitchen/ living/ dining area can be found, fitted with midnight blue storage units and a wide central island with a hob. The worktops in Quilda’s kitchen offer an abundance of space, whether they be used for working, setting up equipment or for a range of different shots and angles on your shoot. Pillars of exposed brick and dark steel ceiling beams will catch your eye, visually breaking down the clean aesthetic.

The dining space is simple, whilst popping with bright colours and sits directly in front of the large, wall-to-wall crittall-style doors, inviting in lots of natural light and a wonderful view of the garden.

A small living room sits on the other end of the space, secluded and equipped with a velvet blue sofa, 1973 Ercol rocking chair, a television and more crittal-style windows. A bootroom can also be found, tucked away in the corner, making a great prep or dressing area and allowing extra access to the back garden.

In the garden, clients will be greeted by a huge, curved stone patio with 2 spots of seating for outside dining and relaxing. The green bed of grass stretches a long way down; led by a stone pathway, a trampoline and children’s play area can be discovered, along with a shed and a wooden bench. A small brook also runs alongside the length of the garden and can be found with water in the cooler months.

Back inside, and up carpeted stairs, are four bedrooms, including two children’s rooms, a spare room and the master bedroom. The spacious landing on the first floor also has a unique space fitted with a cubic bookshelf, football table and a doll's house play area.

The master bedroom is minimal in decor and presents an impressive private dressing room and an ensuite bathroom. The master ensuite is another white space with a stand-out, brass, freestanding bath. Herringbone tiling can be found on some of the walls in a pale marble, adding texture to this light and airy space.

Quilda is a glorious family home with an abundance of rooms and different workable backdrops. Its minimal, but well-considered decor makes it a versatile choice for an array of photographic and filming shoots. If you like what you see, get in touch today to find out more.
